WHAT'S
LNG
LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS
It is methane gas after liquefaction. The process starts by separating contaminants and elements such as carbon dioxide, mercury and sulfur, then reducing the temperature to -160°C to liquefy it.
Atmospheric pressure causing the volume to be reduced by about 600 times that of the gaseous state. which is convenient for transportation by boat After that, gases that are in a liquid state are introduced. to the process to return to the original gas state before being sent to the gas pipeline system separating various contaminants released before the transformation until methane is the main constituent. Therefore, it can be said that LNG or natural gas The liquid is an odorless, colorless, non-toxic, non-corrosive gas. And it’s a very clean quality gas.
What is Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)?
Natural gas is a methane component (more than 90%) and has been reduced to about -160 degrees Celsius and turned into a liquid making it convenient for transportation to remote locations.
To put gas into use, it must go through a temperature raising process in order to return to the gas state again.
Characteristics of Liquefied Natural Gas
Colorless,
odorless
Easy complete combustion It has less impact on the environment than other fuels.
No residues, no accumulation in water or soil
The state is liquid, but if it leaks, it quickly evaporates into a gas.
Non-toxic It is non-corrosive because it separates contaminants before liquidization
